POS Staff Commission & Targets ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting the privacy of merchants and retail store associates. This Privacy Policy describes how personal and transactional information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you install or use our Shopify Application.
2. Information We Collect
To provide staff commission calculation, milestone tier bonuses, and payroll reporting services, we access and store only the minimal necessary data:
- Shop Identification: Store myshopify.com domain, primary email address, currency, and store location names.
- Order & Transaction Data: Order IDs, gross sale totals, creation timestamps, and custom cart note attributes (specifically sales associate attributions). We do not store customer names, physical addresses, credit card numbers, or buyer emails.
- Staff Roster Information: Staff associate names, assigned store locations, custom commission rates, and daily target goals configured by store managers.
3. How We Use Collected Data
We use the information collected exclusively for:
- Calculating sales commissions and performance milestone tier progress for store associates.
- Generating transaction ledgers and downloadable payroll CSV reports for store managers.
- Syncing store configuration across Shopify Point-of-Sale (POS) devices.
4. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored securely using Shopify App Metafields scoped strictly to your store instance. We do not transmit or sell merchant data to third-party advertising networks or external data brokers.
5. Data Retention & Mandatory Webhooks
We support Shopify Mandatory GDPR Data Protection webhooks:
- Customer Data Requests / Erasure: Because our app does not process or retain buyer PII, no buyer data is stored.
- Shop Redact / App Uninstallation: When a merchant uninstalls the App, all associated store metafields, staff rosters, and commission ledgers are automatically queued for permanent deletion within 48 hours.
